Blake Lively speaks at the White House

Blake Lively spoke at the White House on Friday (08.11.13).
The 26-year-old actress, who is married to 'The Proposal' star Ryan Reynolds, was invited by U.S. first lady Michelle Obama to appear on a star-studded panel alongside film producer Harvey Weinstein, 'The View' host Whoppi Goldberg and 'Skyfall' star Naomie Harris for a Careers In Film Symposium workshop.
The former 'Gossip Girl' star helped to educate a group of high school students visiting Washington D.C. from New York and Boston about what it is like to work in the movie industry, according to EOnline.com.
The blonde beauty looked stunning in an unusual black dress and minimal make-up.
Blake recently confessed she doesn't need to do much to look good and eats chocolate every day.
She said: 'I do nothing! I'm lucky to have a very active lifestyle, I'm always running around everywhere... So I don't need to hire a coach or watch what I eat. I can't start my day off without a mug of hot chocolate or finishing off the day with a few squares of dark chocolate... It keeps me feeling happy.'

Eva Longoria’s political ambition

Eva Longoria wants to move into politics.
The former 'Desperate Housewives' star is said to be planning to take her political career more seriously and is reportedly thinking of running for mayor in her home state of Texas.
A source said: 'Eva wants to start small, maybe on a city council in her native Texas, or as mayor of San Antonio or Corpus Christi. Her two-year plan is to run for senate.'
Eva is said to have been asking for help from her good friend and fellow actor, George Clooney.
The source added to National Enquirer magazine: 'George has been coaching Eva on how to operate in Washington versus Hollywood, she wants to be taken seriously on the political scene.'
Eva has previously been very involved in the Democratic National Convention and was seen as a leading Latina supporter for President Barack Obama in September 2012. She has long championed Hispanic rights and causes and is still very involved with fund raising, recently helping to raise $170,000 to the Friends of the American Latino Museum. She has previously said she hopes to become more involved in political projects over the next few years.

Rio police charge Justin Bieber over wall tagging

RIO DE JANEIRO: Canadian teen idol Justin Bieber has been charged with illegally tagging the wall of an abandoned hotel during his stay in Rio, police said Thursday.
A police spokesman described the case as a misdemeanor which will be forwarded to a small-claims court where Bieber, who left the country Wednesday, faces a fine.
Late Tuesday, protected by his security detail, Bieber tagged "Respect privacy" and "I am off" as well as several drawings on a hotel wall in Rio's tourist southern zone.
A police probe subsequently established that the 19-year-old pop star had received permission from City Hall to tag a wall at another location, the Olympic Village in the Vidigal shantytown.
But Bieber's entourage felt he would not be safe there. "The permission from City Hall did not extend to other locations," a police statement said.
Since his arrival last Friday after a stop in Sao Paulo, Bieber, who gave a concert here Sunday, had grabbed media attention with a series of peccadilloes.
He was photographed emerging under a blanket from a notorious Rio brothel and later vainly tried to bring prostitutes into the posh Copacabana Palace.
Furious that he was not able to do so, the teen sensation reportedly went on a rampage in his suite, breaking various objects valued at nearly $6,000 in total.
Bieber and his entourage were subsequently kicked out of the hotel. Bieber, who was on the Brazilian leg of his world tour to promote his Believe album, left Rio Wednesday for Paraguay on the next stage of his tour.

Kim Kardashian overwhelmed by wedding plans

Kim Kardashian reportedly feels 'overwhelmed' by Kanye West's plans for their wedding.
The 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star is said to have told her rapper fiance - with who she has four-month-old daughter North - he can have 'whatever he wants' when it comes to their nuptials, but she is upset he has decided this also includes choosing her four dresses.
A source said: 'Kanye is considering Valentino but it looks like Ricardo Tisci [creative director at Givenchy] is going to be the man for the job.
'Kim thinks it's unromantic that he will have seen the dresses before the wedding. She feels a little overwhelmed.'
Kanye is reportedly planning ceremonies in Los Angeles, Miami, New York and Paris, and is planning a huge firework display to mark the occasions, having agreed with Kim - who was previously wed to music producer Damon Thomas and basketball player Kris Humphries - he can take total control.
The source added to Grazia magazine: 'Kim has already been married twice before but for Kanye this is his first time.
'He's told Kim he's going to be in charge of everything.'

Christina Aguilera feels ‘refreshed

Christina Aguilera's recent weight loss has given her a new lease on life.
The 'Your Body' hitmaker, who recently lost 30 pounds, has revealed she feels completely 'refreshed' after taking some time off to look after her son, Max, and get back in shape.
Speaking at a press conference for 'The Voice' USA in Los Angeles on Thursday (07.11.13), the singer told People.com: 'It's a lot of stagnant energy sitting in a chair for three years in a row. I got to have, finally, a break and spend some time with my son ... being able to breathe and have time away outside of the camera and get to the nitty-gritty of all things real and personal [allowed me to come] back refreshed.'
The 32-year-old star reportedly banned 'dairy and carbs' from her diet to lose weight.
A source recently said: ''Her diet plans has been built around very small portions and very high-energy training for short periods of time, but frequently.
'Banned are dairy and carbs. On the agenda is a lot of coconut water, herbal teas, tofu, celery, oily fish and small amounts of low fat cheese.
''But the major key to this is only hand size portions of every meal and five small meals a day.''

Celine Dion doesn’t want her heart to go on

Celine Dion doesn't want 'My Heart Will Go On' played at her funeral.
While the 45-year-old songstress is grateful for the success of her hit ballad - which featured on the soundtrack to 1997 movie 'Titanic' - she is wary of the career-defining song following her into the afterlife.
She said: 'I'm going to die with this song. It's a good problem to have, when you're part of a classic and you know that you're going to die with it. [But] when I die, though, please don't play the song.'
'My Heart Will Go On' has become one of the best-selling singles of all time, with 15 million record sales worldwide, and even earned Celine an Oscar, but the French-Canadian star said she was initially reluctant to record the signature track.
In an interview to air on UK TV's 'The Jonathan Ross Show' tomorrow (09.11.13), she explained: 'I didn't want to sing 'My Heart Will Go On' ... thank God they didn't listen to me! I didn't really like the song at first. I wasn't sure. I did another song for a movie before and it was very successful and I thought we were pushing our luck.
'And [my husband and manager, René Angélil] said, 'Let's just do a demo, let's give it a try and we'll see after.' The demo is actually the real recording, I never sang the song again ... Well, except three million times after that live.'
Celine isn't the only star with qualms about the song's enduring legacy, as 'Titanic' actress Kate Winslet admitted last year she feels like 'throwing up' when she hears it because people insist on playing it whenever she's in their presence.
She moaned: 'I wish I could say, 'Oh listen, everybody! It's the Celine Dion song!' But I don't. I just have to sit there, you know, kind of straight-faced with a massive internal eye roll.'
