Kareena Kapoor Khan is a modern day woman. She is a trendsetter, follows her heart and does thing what she believes in. After getting married to Saif Ali Khan, the diva stunned all by saying she would not embrace motherhood and now the begum refused to observe Karva Chuth tomorrow for her husband and actor Saif Ali Khan.
Kareena claims she need not have to fast to prove her love and concern for her hubby. She said she is a Kapoor and she can’t do without having food.
“I don’t need to starve to prove my love. I am not going to fast. I am a Kapoor… I can`t live without food. I would celebrate it by eating, working, by promoting my film,” said Kareena.
Kareena and Saif, who married last year had completed one year of togetherness on 16th October. The married couple is currently in London on first anniversary celebration which extended for a week. The couple entered into wedlock after five years of courtship. They had a register marriage at Saif’s Bandra residence followed by a grand reception in Mumbai and Delhi.
It was earlier reported that Kareena will observe Karva Chauth as her contemporaries Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Kajol does but the diva put a full stop on the Karva Chauth celebration but commenting that she would not keep fast.
The actress spoke during the launch of an online store of Malabar Gold and Diamond. Kareena is the brand ambassador of the same.
She said that online shopping saves her a lot of time. “Whatever jewellery I bought myself from my hard earned money is special to me. Gold and diamond are the best fashion statement in jewelry,” she said.
Kareena says she usually prefers to wear light jewellery.
